As of January 2021, we’re changing our name to Leeds Hospitals Charity.

Since I started as Chief Executive back in February 2020, I’ve had numerous conversations with our supporters, our employees and staff at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

They all told me the same thing, that our name ‘Leeds Cares’ was causing confusion and always required an explanation – we are Leeds Hospitals Charity. Our name didn’t reflect who we are or who we’re here to help and presented a barrier to people wanting to make a donation to support their hospitals.

We’ve spent some time listening to that feedback and we now feel that the new year is the right time to start afresh with our new, much simpler name. This is just a straightforward name change that reflects that we’re the charity here to support the wonderful work of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

We think this name change will help people understand where their donations will be spent – to help more patients, families and staff across Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.

We’re looking forward to working with all of our supporters and partners in 2021, under our new name of Leeds Hospitals Charity. Thank you for your continued support.
