Pay tribute to Rob and help to build the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease.

Rob Burrow was an inspiration. Despite facing his own challenges, he was devoted to raising awareness and funds to help people living with MND and their loved ones, until the end.

Rob’s dream was to have a specialist centre for people living with MND and their families giving people living with MND the best possible care and support.

Help us to raise £6.8 million to pay tribute to Rob and the everlasting impact he has had by building a specialist Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Care Centre in his name here in Leeds.

Help us raise the final £400,000 of our £6.8million appeal to make Rob’s dream a reality.

By donating to our appeal, you can help us to make Rob’s dream a reality and create The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, which will see all MND services housed under one roof for the first time.

Help us transform the hospital experience for people with MND, their loved ones, and our NHS heroes caring for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Main article: Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal FAQs

When will the centre be built?

Building work for the new MND centre began in June 2024 and we hope the centre will open its doors to patients and families by Summer 2025. The building is a modular design, so once the groundwork and foundations have been completed, the actual building should go up quite quickly.

What’s your fundraising target? How much have you raised so far?

Our target to build the centre was £6.8 million. Thanks to incredible fundraising from the MND community, Kevin Sinfield and the Burrow Family, we have just under £400,000 still to raise.

Can I continue supporting MND when the centre is open?

Yes, once the centre is open, it will be supported by the charity just like every other area of the hospital. Any staff member from the centre will be able to apply to the charity for a funding grant and we plan to support the staff with ongoing projects; things like family support, memory making, new technology and improvements to the outdoor space.
