NHS Charities Together Funding Impact

Leeds Hospitals Charity is the lead NHS charity responsible for the distribution of stage 2 funding in West Yorkshire & Harrogate on behalf of NHS Charities Together (NHS CT). NHS CT has allocated £1,185,385 to West Yorkshire & Harrogate, whilst this amount has been ring fenced there is a two-stage application process involving submission of a grant proposal followed by a full application which will be reviewed by the NHS CT Grant Review Panel.

In August 2021, Leeds Hospitals Charity received funding from the NHS Charities Together for 22 of the recommended Projects for the full allocation of £1,158,385 for the West Yorkshire & Harrogate region. The 22 funded projects align most closely with the NHS CT Stage 2 Fund criteria, which are as follows-

  1. The project results in a measurable improvement in health outcomes for communities adversely affected by Covid-19.
  2. The project involves a partnership of NHS charities and community organisations
  3. The project leads to a direct, positive impact on the NHS whilst it responds to the Covid-19 pandemic
