Established over four decades, the Leeds Abbey Dash is 10K run that has become a key fixture in the British running calendar. With its flat and fast course, whether you’re running for a PB, fundraising for a cause or simply aiming to enjoy the day, the Leeds Abbey Dash is the perfect event to end the year with. Book a place Link opens in new window An iconic out-and-back route Starting on Wellington Street in Leeds City Centre, the 10k route heads down Kirkstall Road to the iconic Leeds landmark Kirkstall Abbey, before turning around and returning to Leeds! This course is suitable for anyone, no matter your age or ability. Seasoned runners can take advantage of the flat and fast route to target a personal best, whilst new runners can embrace the incredible atmosphere to achieve their own goal! Book a place Link opens in new window By purchasing a charity place in the Leeds Abbey Dash, you agree to pay a £25 charity registration fee and pledge to raise at least £150 sponsorship for Leeds Hospitals Charity.Alternatively, if you already have a place in the Leeds Abbey Dash, you can still fundraise for us, simply by choosing to raise as much as you can in support of Leeds Hospitals Charity. By taking part in this event, your fundraising for Leeds Hospitals Charity can fund the things that make a real difference to patients and their families, and help to enhance the care the NHS already provides. This includes life-saving equipment, treatments and research into rare diseases, and helps to bring hope, happiness and home comforts to every bedside. You don't need to take part to be involved! We will need volunteers in a variety of roles on the day, including cheering and encouraging runners, speaking to members of the public about the work of Leeds Hospitals Charity and being the friendly face of Leeds Hospitals Charity! If you have signed up for a Leeds Hospitals Charity place in the Leeds Abbey Dash, or have your own place in the Leeds Abbey Dash and have chosen to fundraise for Leeds Hospitals Charity, we will send you our Leeds Hospitals Charity jersey to run in. These will be sent out a few weeks before the event. I've not received my running jersey yet, could I have an update? Running jerseys are sent out weekly, beginning a few weeks before the events. If you have either signed up for a Leeds Hospitals Charity place or have your own place and have set up a fundraising page for Leeds Hospitals Charity and have not yet received your running jersey, please contact our events team [email protected] or call 0113 539 7020.
