"The #hellomynameis campaign helps provide better compassionate care to patients - not just in Leeds, not just in the UK, but around the world."

23rd July 2021 marks the fifth annual #hellomynameis Day, which celebrates the campaign to improve the way doctors and nurses speak to patients set up by the late Dr Kate Granger.

Kate's husband Chris Pointon, Leeds Hospitals Charity CEO Esther Wakeman, Kelly Daubney from J&A International and Jason Middleton from Abalone Graphics talk about the importance of the campaign.

Proceeds from the sales of name badges have raised £120,000 towards a total of £470,000 for causes in Kate's memory: Leeds Hospitals Charity and St Gemma's Hospice.

"We've been through challenging times over the last 18 months. And the human connection that is at the heart of the campaign has never been more relevant."
