Leeds Hospitals Charity is proud to be one of the charities set to benefit from Kevin Sinfield’s extraordinary final fundraising challenge, “7 in 7: The Grand Finale.”

This September, Kevin and his team will take on the incredible feat of running seven ultra‑marathons in seven consecutive days, travelling across the north of England and visiting all 12 Super League clubs before finishing on the pitch at Old Trafford ahead of the Grand Final.

The challenge will begin on Sunday 27th September at Hull KR’s Sewell Group Craven Park, before crossing the city to Hull FC’s MKM Stadium and finishing day one in Shiptonthorpe.

Over the following days, the team will travel through York, Pontefract, Castleford and Wakefield, before an emotional return to AMT Headingley, the home of Leeds Rhinos, on Wednesday 30 September. The route then continues via Bradford and Huddersfield, before the final stages culminate at Old Trafford.

Each day is broken down into 7km segments, which must be completed within an hour. The popular “Extra Mile” events will also return, giving supporters and those impacted by MND the opportunity to take part alongside Kevin and the team.

Kevin’s challenges have been inspired by his close friend and former Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow, and since 2020 they have raised more than £11 million to support people affected by motor neurone disease (MND).

Leeds Hospitals Charity is honoured to once again be among the charities benefiting from this year’s fundraising.

Funds raised will enable us to continue to support patients and families at the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, helping to provide the very best care, support and facilities when they are needed most.
