We’re celebrating the NHS birthday by wearing anything purple for a week!

5th July 2025 | Anywhere and everywhere!

Organise a Wear Purple Day with your Scouts Club or at nursery, get your workplace involved or plan a Purple Party with family, friends and neighbours. Because when you Wear Purple and raise funds, you’ll be supporting our amazing world-class hospitals and NHS staff here in Leeds.

Raid your wardrobe for all things purple! Find those purple socks or tie you’ve never worn or go fully purplified in a full purple outfit. Why not even head down to one of our charity shops for inspiration.

Get fundraising! Set up your JustGiving page or use the collection box in your pack to collect cash. Then strike your #PurPose and turn your grid purple.

Your Wear Purple Day fundraising

Getting sponsored by work mates or asking for donations from friends and family at your Purple Party will help make our hospitals in Leeds even better places to work and be cared for. From places for staff to relax after a busy shift, to providing the means for parents to stay comfortably at hospital for extended periods while their child is receiving treatment, your fundraising will make a real difference now and in the future.
