A runner taking part in the Leeds Half Marathon in 2023

The Leeds Half Marathon is one of Yorkshire’s biggest events of its kind and raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity, attracting thousands of runners every year.

But what makes it special is the crowds -  support for runners along the route is always phenomenal, whatever the weather! After the immense success of the 2023 event, the Leeds Half Marathon will again take place on the same day as the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, starting and finishing at the iconic home of Leeds Rhinos, Headingley Stadium!

The Leeds Half is for runners of all abilities and ages - with a vibrant atmosphere guaranteed, this event could be right up your street!

Make a real difference at Leeds Teaching Hospitals

You can #RunForRob to support The Rob Burrow Centre for MND Centre Appeal or simply run to help us make a real difference in Leeds hospitals for patients, staff and their families.

We can't wait to see you on the start line!

By purchasing a charity place in the Leeds Half Marathon, you agree to pay a £25 charity registration fee (RRP £39) and pledge to raise at least £250 sponsorship for Leeds Hospitals Charity.

Alternatively, if you already have a place in the Leeds Half Marathon, you can still fundraise for us, simply by choosing to raise as much as you can in support of Leeds Hospitals Charity.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will my fundraising be used?

If you are supporting the Rob Burrow Centre for MND Appeal:

Inspired by Rugby League Legend Rob, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2019, we are building a £6.8m state-of-the-art MND Care Centre, to give people with MND and their families the best possible care and support.

By taking part in this event, you will be helping to create The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, which will see all MND services housed under one roof for the first time.

If you are supporting any other area of Leeds Teaching Hospitals:

By taking part in this event, your fundraising for Leeds Hospitals Charity can fund the things that make a real difference to patients and their families, and help to enhance the care the NHS already provides. This includes life-saving equipment, treatments and research into rare diseases, and helps to bring hope, happiness and home comforts to every bedside.

Your participation helps our hospital teams to be their very best for your loved ones, when they need it most. Can you support them today?

Can I volunteer?

Yes! You don't need to take part to be involved! We will need volunteers in a variety of roles on the day, including cheering and encouraging runner, speaking to members of the public about the work of Leeds Hospitals Charity and being the friendly face of Leeds Hospitals Charity!
