There will be plenty of activities on the route to get involved with! It’s just £5 to sign up your toddler (accompanying adults are free) and all funds raised will go towards initiatives that help make hospital a little brighter for young patients. So grab your toddler, get your best animal outfit on, and sign up to support Leeds Children's Hospital! After the Toddle, there will be a petting zoo in the event village plus lots of fun games with Ernie - our loveable owl mascot, and a host of Leeds Children’s Hospital staff who will cheer you along every step of the toddle! Get your place here Link opens in new window With the help of a grown up, toddlers taking part are encouraged to set up their own fundraising page to raise whatever they can to help poorly children and their families at Leeds Children’s Hospital. That’s the equivalent of more than one admission every hour, every day of the year. Read More: Leeds Children's Hospital Who can take part in the Toddle? The walk is open to toddlers aged under 5. Each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Adults attend for free, but toddlers must be registered. Is the event suitable for the whole family? Yes! While the Toddle is for under-5s, the event is family-friendly, welcoming parents, carers, siblings, and supporters to cheer little legs on and enjoy the activities together. Do we need to book in advance? Yes. Toddlers must be registered in advance to take part. It costs £5 per child to register for the Tropical Toddle. Accompanying adults go free of charge. What is the fancy dress theme? The theme for this year’s event is Tropical, inspired by our beautiful setting at Roundhay Park. Think tropical animals, jungle outfits, palm trees or simply bright summer colours - creativity is encouraged! Is the route suitable for prams and buggies? Yes. The 1km route is designed for toddlers and is suitable for pushchairs, prams and little legs. There will also be planned activities along the route to keep children engaged. What should we bring on the day?
