Even on wet and windy days the Yorkshire Three Peaks offer a spectacular challenge - one that will rest in your memory for many years to come! Book a place Opens in new window Starting and ending in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is a circular walk which encompasses three major peaks in the Yorkshire Dales: Pen-y-Ghent The "smallest" peak at 694m, but a steep ascent offers views across the Dales. The rocky terrain makes for an interesting challenge. Whernside At 736m the highest of the Three Peaks. A slow gradual climb offers views of Morecombe Bay and the Irish Sea on a clear day. Ingleborough One of the most popular peaks for its dramatic steep ascent and flat top with picturesque views from all aspects at a height of 723m. This challenge is the perfect opportunity to test yourself and gain a real sense of achievement. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, it’s a day to make memories with friends that will be remembered for years to come! Book a place Opens in new window By signing up for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, you agree to pay a £35 registration fee and pledge to raise at least £150 sponsorship for Leeds Hospitals Charity. By taking part in this event, your fundraising for Leeds Hospitals Charity can fund the things that make a real difference to patients and their families, and help to enhance the care the NHS already provides. This includes life-saving equipment, treatments and research into rare diseases, and helps to bring hope, happiness and home comforts to every bedside. Your participation helps our hospital teams to be their very best for your loved ones, when they need it most. Can you support them today? You'll be supported by a team qualified mountain leaders, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey. How long do I have to complete the challenge? The event will run from approximately 6am to 8pm with start times in small groups of participants. Completing the route in under 12 hours is considered a notable achievement. Transport between the peaks is provided for anyone who feels they have achieved enough on the day. Is there an age limit? This challenge is suitable for participants aged 18+. You can book as an individual or as a group. Will I receive any help with my fundraising? Once you have booked and paid your registration fee with Carnegie Great Outdoors, you will receive a participant pack giving helpful tips about raising sponsorship funds for your chosen charity.
