Thank you for your special gift in memory

We have a number of different ways you can collect gifts in memory of your loved one after their death. Please see our FAQs below:

How can I organise a funeral collection online?

Hold an online funeral collection by setting up a Memory Fund in memory of your loved one. A memory fund is an online space for you to celebrate the life and legacy of someone you love. Here, you can collect donations, share memories and photos, and invite friends and family all over the world to do the same.

From this page, you can also donate an existing fund that someone else has set-up.

Do you have any materials to help me collect donations in memory?

Yes, we can send you:

  • Our In Memory leaflet which gives you more information about ways to remember your loved one
  • Envelopes to help you collect donations from others, including Gift Aid forms and prepaid envelopes
  • A collection box for the funeral

To order your materials please contact our In Memory Officer, Zoe, on 0113 539 8184 or [email protected].

I’ve received some cash or cheque donations, how do I get them to you?

Please send your cash or cheque donations along with a covering note to:

Supporter Care
Leeds Hospitals Charity
Ground Floor, Trust Headquarters
St James’s University Hospital
Beckett Street
Leeds
LS9 7TF

Cheques should be made payable to Leeds Hospitals Charity.

Will I receive an acknowledgement?

We will send you personal thank you letter and card for all of the money raised in your loved one’s name.

For Memory Funds and other online fundraising platforms like JustGiving, people tend to write their thoughts and make donations over a number of weeks so as soon it looks like they’ve all come in, we’ll write to you to thank you for the total amount.

Can our Funeral Directors send in the donations instead?

Of course. They can pay in all of the same ways mentioned above. We will then send them an acknowledgement of receipt for kindly organising the collection and a thank you letter and card to you.

If you have any questions or if there’s anything we can help with at all, please contact our In Memory Officer, Zoe, on 0113 539 8184 or [email protected].
