How we use your donations At Leeds Hospitals Charity, through generous donations we've given millions to fund life-saving equipment, research fellowships, state-of-the-art technology and improvements to the patient environment. Every penny is spent towards supporting the hard-working staff at our hospitals and enhance the experience of our patients and their families. We currently have six priority areas for funding: Research & Innovation, Education, Specialist Staff, Health & Wellbeing, Equipment and Environment. Explore our funding priority areas We’ll always work with the Trust to identify where the need is greatest and all applications for charitable funding come from the Trust Right now, some of your donations get to work more quickly than others. This is because there are two ways in which the hospital charity can receive donations: Restricted donations, where the donor makes a legal written declaration that their money can only be spent in a specific way.Unrestricted donations are able to be spent more quickly on projects that our hospitals really need. If you’re happy to leave an unrestricted donation to Leeds Hospitals Charity, we’ll use it where it’s needed most, across our hospitals.
