Yidan recently completed her master’s degree, and feels that volunteering with Leeds Hospitals Charity has given her a massive boost in confidence and social skills.

Yidan says: “I love helping in the office and in the Merrion Centre charity shop. 

"Volunteering allows me to see first-hand how the money donated to the charity is utilised and what a huge impact it makes. It brings me joy to know I am a part of such a selfless charity that helps those who need it the most.

"Volunteering has really improved my mental health and overall happiness, it is never a loss when you know you are helping others.”
