On Thursday 14th October, children and staff at Adel St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School held a pass the rugby ball fundraiser in support of our Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal.

It all kicked off in their morning assembly with pupils from their Year 6 class passing the ball continuously.

The school also had a special visit from Leeds Rhino’s mascot Ronnie the Rhino and current Leeds Rhinos player Richie Myler who got involved in the challenge and cheered on everyone involved!

The school’s pass the ball fundraiser lasted an amazing six hours in total, ending with the smallest pupils from their reception class at 3.15pm.

Everyone got involved in the challenge, from teachers to pupils, caretakers, lunchtime staff and cleaners which continued even through the school’s collective worship and lunch break!

Thanks to their fantastic efforts, the school have now raised over £800 for our MND centre appeal.
