S+SA Architects raises over £3,500 to support Leeds Teaching Hospitals

Yorkshire-based architects, S+SA Architects, has raised over £3,500 for Leeds Hospitals Charity to support Leeds Teaching Hospitals, to help make a real difference for patients, families and staff.

The S+SA Team took on the incredible challenge of conquering the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, which is a 24 mile round trip! The team managed to complete this challenge in 12 hours, which was their goal for this task.

Joel Smith, Director at S+SA Architects said:

“What a rewarding and incredible achievement by Team S+SA. I know a lot of people have scaled the Yorkshire Three Peaks, but it is an extremely tough walking challenge. With an exceptional display of endurance and camaraderie, whilst raising vital funds for an incredible local charity, my colleagues completed the gruelling challenge, and I would like to say well done to each and every one of them.

It was great to spend time out of the office together. Seeing the interactions and support to motivate and keep each other moving – it shows what a group can achieve together as I think alone, we would have been up against it. Some amazing memories created and shared.”

The team also took on additional activities to help them achieve their fundraising target, including a tombola, which received incredible support from local businesses donating prizes for this event. A bake sale was also held, and a ‘pick a square’ competition to win some Easter treats!

“Being local to Leeds we chose to support Leeds Hospitals Charity as a way of giving back. Several members of the S+SA Team have received care for either themselves or their children from the fantastic teams at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge gave us the opportunity to come together as a team and achieve over £3,500 for the charity, something we’re extremely proud of. Special thanks to our colleagues, friends, family, clients, local businesses, and our friends at 1 Cardale Park.”
