2021-2026: Enabling world-class healthcare for all

"Our purpose is to raise money for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in order to enhance the patient experience. As one of the biggest healthcare trusts in Europe, these seven specialist hospitals sit at the heart of our city, providing healthcare services for more than a million people each year.

Esther Outdoor

"Beyond our doors we work in partnership with other key organisations in Leeds, from the local authority, to our academic institutions who aim to attract and retain the best research talent. Our vision is to enhance Leeds Teaching Hospitals ability to be the best NHS Trust, in the healthiest city. To achieve this we will work together, helping our partners to fund projects that deliver real results for the people of Leeds and West Yorkshire.

"Over the next five years we want to invest more in the areas where we can have a greater impact, from supporting the latest in healthcare innovation to helping to reduce health inequalities across the city.

"We’re planning a period of significant growth in income which is driven by the growing needs and ambition of the Trust. Every member of staff, across all our hospitals, strives to deliver the best patient experience and relies on their charity to fund things over and above what the NHS can pay for - we don’t want to let them down.

"Our strategy sets out how over the next five years we will strive to be a better, more efficient organisation that has a lasting impact, benefitting not only the patients and their families who are cared for here in Leeds, but also the 20,000 committed NHS staff."
