Could you leave a gift in your Will

to Leeds Hospitals Charity?

Small or large, your gift will help improve health and wellbeing for patients and families in Leeds, across Yorkshire and beyond.

Your gift would help real families from around the UK facing incredible hardships.

“I want to make sure boys like me can walk, run and play…”

When Austin - who features in our new TV campaign was born, mum Maxine had a feeling something wasn’t quite right. As he grew, his speech and movement didn’t develop as expected.

At two years old, Austin was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a rare, progressive and life-shortening genetic condition that causes muscles to weaken and waste away. There is no cure.

Gifts left in Wills to Leeds Hospitals Charity are supporting clinical trials at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, which are giving families hope - hope for more time, and for a future where a diagnosis like Austin’s doesn’t mean a shortened life.

"I don't think he would have got through the treatment, I think he would have given up if we'd had to travel every day, if we didn't have the hotel here"

- Wife of a patient supported by the Bexley Hotel, funded thanks to a gift in someone's Will

"I owe my life to St James’s Hospital. IVF technology helped my mother to conceive, A liver transplant saved my life and my children took their first breath in the hospital. Leaving a gift was the least I could do. Knowing I can make a difference to patients and staff long after I am gone is empowering."

 - Louise Prashad
