Get involved Leeds Bear Hunt Leeds Bear Hunt Leeds Hospitals Charity launches new trail with Bear sculptures set to take over Leeds Leeds Hospitals Charity is working with creative producers Wild in Art to present Leeds Bear Hunt – a large-scale public art trail set to splosh its way across Leeds in summer 2023. Decorated by local, national and international artists, designers and illustrators, more than 50 giant Bear sculptures will hide in plain sight on the streets and within the parks of Leeds. The Bears will form a family-friendly trail of discovery, bringing Michael Rosen’s iconic We’re Going on a Bear Hunt story to life, and taking visitors and local people on adventures around the city and surrounding open spaces. Designed to celebrate the vibrancy, culture and creativity of Leeds, and to raise money for Leeds Children’s Hospital, the trail will be deeply rooted in the local community. There are many ways in which you can get involved in this spectacular event and support the Charity and Leeds Children’s Hospital. We are looking for: Local artists, designers and illustrators to create inspiring and engaging artwork that will transform our Bear sculptures from blank canvases to fun, creative pieces of art that demand attention Local businesses to sponsor a Bear for the duration of the trail, a unique opportunity offering excellent return on investment and employee/community engagement benefits Local schools to get involved by designing and painting their own smaller Bear Cub sculpture.
