Since the launch of our five-year strategy in 2021, we’re proud to have provided over £20 million of additional funding to Leeds Teaching Hospitals taking the total over the past six years to over £50 million.

Our 5-year Strategy: 2021-2026

Additional funding has supported a wide range of projects from care packs for relatives of end of life patients, to cutting edge surgical equipment, specialist staff, and an ambitious research programme with a vision to improve childhood health in Leeds.

The difference donations make

Generous donations and gifts left in Wills mean we’re able to continue funding projects in 2024/25 that help to:

  • Tackle health inequalities for patients in Leeds, in key areas such as cancer care and research, paediatric care and research, mental health, end of life care and care of older people
  • Drive innovation in healthcare using new technologies
  • Enhance treatments for rare conditions.

Staff across all seven hospitals will have the opportunity to apply for funding in response to themed calls in areas such as: innovation, patient experience, research into tackling health inequalities and education.
