We were interested in receiving applications that: Developed non-clinical skills in a clinical setting. Proposals that demonstrated the potential for wider implementation across several specialties, staff groups and/or Clinical Service Units were welcomed. Demonstrated a clear link to patient treatment and care. Evidence the opportunity for the funding to deliver impact to a greater number of staff (rather than being limited to one individual). Evidenced how the education or training proposed is value for money. Evidenced compliance with Leeds Teaching Hospitals study leave policies and processes. Outlined how learning gained will be sustained and shared. This funding opportunity was open to all staff at Leeds Teaching Hospitals who are working in a clinical area, including administrative and Estates & Facilities staff. Overview We received a total of 15 applications for the Q1 Education Funding Call In June 2024 a total of 3 applications were approved by the Small Grants Panel totalling £5,000.00 with the potential to impact directly and indirectly 12,201 beneficiaries including patients, families and staff. The funding awarded supported the Education funding priority and the projects align with three of our specific impact areas; Health Inequalities – Cancer Care, Mental Health and Other. All projects approved as part of the Q1 Education Funding Call will be complete by October 2025 15 applications received across 10 Clinical Service Units Approved Applications: Education Phlebotomy Team Development for Service Improvement Assessment to improve team development. Awarded: £2,000CSU: Outpatients Insights - Team Intervention Course Insights training for improvement in team working. Awarded: £1,500CSU: Adult Therapies Reflective Pastoral Supervision Diploma Taking part in Reflective Pastoral Diploma, to provide better leadership skills.
