We were looking for a range of projects and initiatives of varying value from £75 to £7,500 that will have a direct impact on patients treated and cared for at Leeds Teaching Hospitals over the next 12 -18 months Central to our strategy is our patient benefit ethos; the aim of this grant opportunity is for proposed projects to improve the experience of patients treated and cared for at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, leading to enhanced service delivery and clinical outcomes. Proposals that have the potential for wider implementation across several specialties, patient groups and teams were particularly welcomed as well as projects that demonstrated the potential to deliver impact in one or more of our three areas of focus: Tackling health inequalities Treatments of rare conditions Innovation and health technology Overview: We received a total of 40 applications for the Q1 Patient Experience Funding Call In June 2024 a total of 10 applications were approved by the Small Grants Panel totaling £26,388.92 with the potential to impact directly and indirectly 44,030 beneficiaries including patients, families, and staff. The funding awarded will support three out of our six funding priorities: Health and Wellbeing, Equipment and Education and projects align with seven different impact areas of focus: Health Inequalities - End of Life Care, Care of Older People, Paediatric Care, Cancer Care, Women’s Health, Mental Health, and Treatment of Rare Conditions.
