Proposals should aim to improve patient’s experience leading to enhanced service delivery and clinical outcomes.

Leeds Hospitals Charity is making available £26,737 for Patient Experience Grants in Q1 of 2024/25. The maximum grant available is £7,500 and we’re looking for a range of projects and initiatives of varying value from £75 to £7,500 that will have a direct impact on patients treated and cared for at Leeds Teaching Hospitals over the next 12 -18 months.

Central to our strategy is our patient benefit ethos; the aim of this grant opportunity is for proposed projects to improve the experience of patients treated and cared for at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, leading to enhanced service delivery and clinical outcomes

Proposals that have the potential for wider implementation across several specialties, patient groups and teams are particularly welcomed.

Projects should also demonstrate the potential to deliver impact in one or more of our three areas of focus:

  • Tackling health inequalities
  • Treatments of rare conditions
  • Innovation and health technology

Applications must also demonstrate patient involvement in the development of a project.

Examples of previously funded patient experience projects include:
