We were interested in receiving research applications up to £10,000 that would have a direct impact on patients treated and cared for at Leeds Teaching Hospitals over the next 5 - 10 years.

Proposals that have the potential for wider implementation across several specialties, patient groups and teams were particularly welcomed as well as projects that demonstrated the potential to deliver impact in one or more of our three areas of focus:

  • Tackling health inequalities
  • Treatments of rare conditions
  • Innovation and health technology

This funding opportunity was open to all staff at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

  • In August 2024 a total of 4 applications were approved by the Small Grants Panel totaling £32,452.24 with the potential to impact directly and indirectly 2,341 beneficiaries including patients, families and staff.
