We were interested in receiving applications that: Clearly linked to patient treatment and care. Evidenced the opportunity for the funding to deliver impact to a greater number of staff (rather than being limited to one individual). Evidenced how the education or training proposed is value for money. Evidenced compliance with Leeds Teaching Hospitals study leave policies and processes Outlined how learning gained will be sustained and shared. Proposals that had the potential for wider implementation across several specialties, patient groups and teams were particularly welcomed as well as projects that demonstrated the potential to deliver impact in one or more of our three areas of focus: Tackling health inequalities Treatments of rare conditions Innovation and health technology Overview: We received a total of 39 applications for the Q4 Education Funding Call In March 2025, a total of 17 applications were approved by the Small Grants Panel totalling £22,033.99 with the potential to impact directly and indirectly 72,529 beneficiaries including patients, families, and staff. The funding awarded supported one of the Funding Priorities, Education. The projects align with eight different impact areas of focus: Health Inequalities - Paediatric Care, Cardiovascular, Cancer Care, Mental Health, Transplantation, Innovation & Health Technologies, Treatment of Rare Conditions and Other.
