We were interested in receiving applications that: Improved the experience of patients treated and cared for at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Will lead to enhanced service delivery and/ or improved clinical outcomes within a 12-18-month timeframe. Demonstrated patient involvement in the development of a project. The funding opportunity was open to all staff at Leeds Teaching Hospitals across all Clinical Service Units and Departments within both medical and non-medical roles, including staff employed by academic partners who hold an honorary contract with Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Overview: We received a total of 34 applications for the Q3 Patient Experience Funding Call In January 2025 a total of 19 applications were approved by the Small Grants Panel totaling £86,114.74 with the potential to impact directly and indirectly 62,552 beneficiaries including patients, families and staff. The funding awarded supported 4 of the Funding Priorities: Education, Environment and Equipment and Health and Wellbeing.
